Purpose of the Role:

To drive profitable sales growth across direct sales to specialized wholesalers and indirect sales to on-trade venues by providing strategic financial leadership, optimizing trade investments, and enhancing channel and customer profitability. This role acts as a key business partner to the sales and trade marketing teams, ensuring that all commercial initiatives are grounded in financial insight and aligned with the company’s performance and growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering & Strategy Support

Lead financial support for the specialized wholesale channel, including liquor-focused wholesalers, mid-tier wholesalers, and indirect on-trade sales.Partner with the on-trade commercial team to evaluate and optimize commercial actions directly executed at point of consumption.Deliver pricing and margin guidance to support competitive positioning and sustainable growth.Drive financial accountability across sales leadership and commercial decision-making.

Financial Analysis & Performance Management

Own P&L management and performance tracking for assigned channels and customers.Conduct profitability analysis at customer, channel, and SKU level.Track performance against targets and provide actionable insights to close gaps and capture opportunities.Support month-end close and variance analysis with relevant commercial commentary.

Trade Spend Management & ROI Evaluation

Guide effectiveness evaluation of trade investments across specialized wholesalers and on-trade activation points.Recommend reallocation of funds to improve ROI and reduce revenue leakage.Ensure financial discipline and transparency in trade spend execution and accruals.Ensure control MF001 compliance.Partner with CP&A and Commercial Strategy to shape investment plans.

Forecasting & Planning

Co-own demand and financial forecasting with Demand Planning and Sales.Provide scenario planning and stress-testing of volume, pricing, and cost assumptions.Contribute to annual operating plans and strategic channel reviews.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Act as a trusted financial advisor to Sales, Trade Marketing, Commercial Strategy, and Demand Planning.Challenge and support commercial assumptions with rigorous financial logic.Drive cross-functional alignment around profitable growth goals.Translate financial insights into clear, action-oriented recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).4+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Business Controlling, preferably in CPG, beverages, or retail sectors.Proven track record of driving profitability improvements and influencing commercial strategy.Strong understanding of wholesale and on-trade business models.Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities; Power BI or similar tools is a plus.Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and influencing skills.Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders with clarity.
