Job: Welcome Center Associate

Shift: Days (12 Hour Shifts)

Location: Mars Petcare (Fort Smith, AR)

Mars Petcare is seeking a Welcome Center Associate to join our exciting pet food business at a Fort Smith, AR manufacturing plant. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. Our obsession with detail allows us to deliver precise, effective nutrition and help them become their magnificent best.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain Appointment Schedule for all inbound ordersPerform various WMS functions: shipment confirmations, Trailer dispatch, checking trailers into the system etc.Tender loads within in TransplaceWMS use for printing BOLs and closing ordersConstant communication with shipping teams to ensure efficient flow of work and high service levels to our customersTrailer Pool managementPerform and send daily yard check reportRespond to emails regarding any of our scrap load carriersMaintain shipping supplies within the welcome centerMonitor the shipping window, office phone system and inbound/outbound gatesMaintain incoming outgoing shipping logFile all necessary shipping paperworkSupport Manager and Leads on all shifts

Job Specifications/Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.2 years experience in Shipping Office/yard ManagementStrong organizational and multi-tasking skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated strength in conflict resolution.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with associates within all levels of the organization.Excellent computer skills with experience in Warehouse Management systems and order processing systemsWorking understanding of our receiving process and manufacturing processAbility to work with little or no supervision.Ability to Work 12 hour shifts and cover overtime

Preferred Qualifications

3-4 years of shipping office experienceWorking knowledge of SAP and/or JDAAbility to tolerate and ambiguous environmentDemonstrated ability to work with little to no guidance 

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent18 years of age
