Key responsibilities:
1. Programme development and implementation:
Develop sanitation demand creation and supply interventions with the WASH team.Contribute to the planning of the WASH programmes, specifically the development of Sanitation demand creation and supply interventions with local authoritiesContribute to WV's collaborative planning and implementation of behavioural change interventions at AP level,Contribute to the development of Disaster Risk Reduction and contingency planning with local authoritiesEnsure the integration of WASH interventions with all technical programs being implemented at local level also gender, social inclusion, HIV and protection issues are considered and integrated.Ensure that the sanitation demand and supply interventions projects address the special needs of Children, the elderly and disabled.Support the WASH teams' work with the Local authority's health officers and sanitary inspectors to apply the approaches for behaviour change to the local context, considering the WV Mozambique team's and partners' capacities.Recommend adjustments to appropriate participatory behaviour change approaches for local capacity building.Support the implementation of the planned interventions by the geographic WASH teams, involving communities, partners and local authorities in the activities as appropriate2. Community Mobilization
Mobilize the community to adopt to a new practices of sanitation, hygiene and behavioral changeMobilize the community to adhere the construction of sanitation and hygiene facilities;Promote sanitation, hygiene and behavior change at the community levelIdentify the main local barriers and design Marketing strategies to overcome them towards sustainable sanitationConduct awareness of communities for rational use of water and social infrastructures, whether sanitation and hygieneEstablish partnerships and local networks to boost the market, towards enhancing the supply of sanitation services and products at the community levelListen to the community about various models/prototypes of improved latrines that respond to the real need of the community and recommend the technical team for the appropriate effectsWork with the district and local multisectoral team within the scope of public health promotion activities in the area under their responsibilityCommunicate orally and in writing relevant information to your team members;Unsure all CBOs are fully operational, providing measurable achievement based in evidence3. Coordination
Collaborate with the local government or leadership to ensure all activities are conducted with a full respect of the local culture and contextCoordinate all WASH interventions with public health multisectoral team at district and local level Support coordination and integration with other components of the WASH ProgrammeIn collaboration with the CDRM team, contribute to identifying the capacity-building needs of authoritiesCoordinate with all CBOs to unsure integration of their activities avoiding working in Isolation4. Reporting
Report regularly, orally and in writing to the District WASH Technical Coordinator with a cop to Field Coordinator and WASH SBCC and all WASH district team including DMEUse reporting formats for WASH activities reporting and regular reporting and databases (mWater)Ensure behaviour change information is appropriately fed into databases in a weekly base5. Emergency response
