Come and join us at our Gloucester Wall’s factory where we are looking for enthusiastic Operators to help us make Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, Wall’s, and Cornetto.  

We are running recruitment assessment centres, where candidates will get the opportunity to see how our products are made, meet the team and hear first-hand about some exciting projects! 

We’re eager to find people who have a passion for teamwork, a positive attitude, and who are results orientated. Experience is not essential as full training will be provided. Please be aware the role is manual in nature.

AVAILABLE ROLE: Machine Operator (Permanent Seasonal)

MACHINE OPERATOR PACKAGE:

£17,995.58 (seasonal contract) rising to £19,339 (Seasonal contract) on completion of training  Benefits Envelope: £6,478.40£7,918.05 shift allowance depending on shiftCareer progression and opportunities to progress to Full time contractShift patterns consist of a rotation of day and night shifts through the week following a 24/7 pattern

ESSENTIAL: 

Proficient in Reading and Writing.  This will support recording of data and review of machine performance. Must have a level of physical capability to carry / lift loads within agreed risk assessment limits & feed materials into a machine / manually-palletize.Can maintain focus and discipline for the task whilst demonstrating good problem-solving skills to protect targets. Experienced in the use of logistics data and control systems that record Material Movement, Losses, and Quality.  Must also be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office; Word programmes.Able to work well in a team, supporting your colleagues where needed.Able to demonstrate a willingness to learn.Carry out training of new team members when needed.Effective communicator.

PREFERRED / DESIRABLE:

Experience as a Site Logistics Operations Worker.Experience of manufacturing in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company.

Recruitment Fraud 

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate. 

How is Unilever tackling this? 

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down. 

What can I do? 

If you become aware of potential recruitment fraud, spot fake Unilever recruitment adverts or fake LinkedIn profiles, report them via Una Live Chat.
