**Your day at NTT DATA**
The Vice President, Service / Product Design is a senior leadership role, accountable for ensuring that service offers within the portfolio(s) for which they have oversight achieve the highest levels of client satisfaction, are uncomplicated in each stage of their lifecycle (from pre-sales, through selling, on-boarding, operation and billing), carefully balance the cost of operation with fiscal targets such as improving gross profit, and lend themselves to effective and efficient cross- and up-sell.
The Vice President, Service / Product Design drives a culture of collaboration and innovation across their team with a focus on operational excellence.
**What you'll be doing**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Leads and manages the creation or review of a service/product design strategy which meets the requirements of the business.
+ Provides the leadership, vision, direction and expertise to achieve major goals for existing and new portfolio of services.
+ Manages the selection of appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures they are applied effectively, and in particular the promotion and application of a design thinking’ approach to service offer construction and implementation
+ Maintains ownership and accountability of the service design processes, working with strategic partners and maintaining healthy internal and external relationships.
+ Designs and leads a well-articulated strategy for the innovation of existing and new services.
+ Ensures that the service design equitably balances functional requirements with non-functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability and usability.
+ Collaborates with a variety of stakeholders to provide advice on the design of service standards and processes that fall in the service design model and drives the achievement of the service design strategy.
+ Ensures that all delivery commitments as defined in the service product or the client’s service contract are achievable in terms of availability and capacity, whilst maintaining operational effectiveness.
+ Advises on the development of the relevant processes and systems required to achieve delivery agreements and contributes to the assessment of relative skills and capability required to provide excellent service delivery.
+ Make recommendations on client centric service design such as the production of design and platform design packages.
+ Enables a high performing team through coaching and mentoring, performance management, training and professional development, work/life balance and living the organization's corporate values.
+ Drives a culture of collaboration and innovation across the team with a focus on operational excellence.
**Knowledge and Attributes:**

+ Evidence of developing a global product offering in liaison/ coordination with cross functional teams.

+ Substantial knowledge of IT services, outsourcing and infrastructure markets across all verticals.

+ Ability to identify and prioritize strategic growth opportunities, anticipating emerging business trends, make decisions and drive initiatives through to conclusion.
+ Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to build consensus amongst many stakeholders; be comfortable with ambiguity.
+ Ability to thrive within high pressure, complex, fast paced environments.
+ Ability to lead multi-cultural and geographically dispersed virtual teams.
+ Strong leadership and negotiation skills with our channels to market, third parties and internal delivery teams.
**Academic Qualifications and Certifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science or Business or related field.
+ Relevant certifications such as Scaled Agile and ITIL are beneficial.
**Required Experience:**
+ Substantial experience in IT services, specifically service design within a large scale (preferably multi- national) technology services environment across a range of service offers/portfolios.
+ Substantial experience in an operational context within an IT services organization, with a solid understanding of client needs.
+ Substantial knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs.
+ Substantial track record of managing the design of and implementation of ITIL-based services and their improvements.
+ Substantial experience managing services / product design teams.
