Validation Engineer
Join our Team

About this opportunity:

Are you an experienced Post-Silicon Validation Engineer ready to make an impact? Join our global, dedicated validation team within the Silicon Productization Engineering division, where we validate and verify state-of-the-art ASICs shaping the future of networking and telecommunications.

Our global team is distributed across Kista (SE), Lund (SE), and Austin (US). You will be based in Kista, with occasional travel to other locations as needed. As a Validation Engineer, your responsibilities will span the entire silicon lifecycle—from early feasibility studies to post-silicon validation and long-term product support.

In this role, you will develop validation frameworks, write test specifications, create test plans, and execute electrical measurements, functional validation, and end-to-end system testing.

We’re looking for a collaborative, solution-oriented team player who is also self-driven, approach challenges with creativity, and has an openness to new ideas and continuous improvement. If you're passionate about advancing validation methods and eager to explore emerging technologies, this opportunity is for you.

What you will do:

•    Validate high-quality, high-performance ASIC products to meet technical specifications and customer expectations.
•    Customize test scripts and programs, define test board requirements, and create robust validation plans.
•    Contribute to silicon bring-up, including debugging and root cause analysis.
•    Perform electrical characterization, compliance testing, power correlation, and performance analysis.
•    Troubleshoot technical issues and provide expert support throughout product development cycles.
•    Drive continuous improvement in validation processes, methodologies, and product quality.
•    Collaborate and coordinate with global ASIC validation teams.

The skills you bring:

•    5+ years of experience in block-level and system-level functional testing and validation.
•    Solid understanding of ASICs, FPGAs, and hardware validation environments, with proven capability in designing and troubleshooting complex setups.
•    Background in microcontrollers, embedded systems, and ability to interpret schematics and experience using layout tools.
•    Strong hands-on experience with lab equipment such as BERTs, oscilloscopes, and other instrumentation.
•    Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and MATLAB, along with strong programming skills in C/C++. Experience with version control tools (Git is a bonus)
•    Technical experience in interfaces and technologies like SERDES, Ethernet, PCIe, CPRI, DDR, Power, Clock, and I3C.
•    Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting validation data, diagnosing issues, and deriving actionable insights to enhance product quality and performance.
•    Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to document findings and collaborate effectively across teams.
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
