Job Title: User Experience Design Specialist
Location: Palo Alto, CA

Purpose and Objective:
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a User Experience Design Specialist at our Palo Alto, CA location to conduct user research virtually or in the field, analyze gathered data and write research reports to present to stakeholders, and incorporate research findings in to prototype ideas.
Expectations and Tasks:
Define roles and use cases for a given domain focused on user needs. Assist in creating design concepts and iterations. Create, evaluate and modify, end-to-end interactive UI prototypes of a moderate complexity level. Perform usability testing using evaluative testing methods with target end user personas and incorporate improvements in to design prototype. Work with the SAP UI guidelines and design system to maintain product design standards. Work collaboratively with other designers, engineers and product managers across time zones to complete work.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Design, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Engineering, Cognitive Psychology or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Design, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Engineering, Cognitive Psychology or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve one (1) year in the following:
Design mockups and prototype flows;
User experience research, including explorative and evaluative;
Design documentation specifications;
Research analysis and synthesis;
Interaction design; and
Facilitate workshops.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $153,296 - $178,740. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $153,296 - $198,600. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
