As the Production Manager of the GSO Tool Shop, you will oversee all aspects of production operations within the Tool Shop, ensuring smooth workflows, compliance, and continuous improvement: 

 

Production Operations: 

Ensure machines, equipment, and tools are operable and properly maintained.  Provide effective workflow between various departments (Molding, Stamping and Assembly Operations, and Engineering) to provide safe and stable working environment.  Ensure quick resolution of malfunctions to avoid downtime.  Create safe working environment to maintain zero accident status in the plant  Drive quality improvement initiatives by providing and coordinating resources for process changes.  Eliminate waste through value stream mapping, creating flexible and reliable systems.  Align departmental goals with the company’s TEOA (Lean/Operational Excellence) objectives.  Facilitate the integration of processes into a cohesive value stream to deliver maximum customer value.  Other Responsibilities

 

Team Management: 

Supervise departmental employees, prepare and communicate work schedules, and manage vacation plans.  Motivate, coach, educate, and train team members in line with new LEAN organization to enhance performance  Uphold work discipline and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.

 

Compliance and Reporting: 

Prepare and maintain reports on performance of the tool shop operations  Manage department budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness  Responsible for audit readiness in the Tool Shop area (IATF, ISO, SAFE, customer, and other external)  Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health regulations, and environmental standards.  Oversee cleanliness and orderliness of machinery and the workplace. 

 

Leadership and Best Practices: 

As member of the local management team to actively participate in the governance and improvement of the Tool Shop   Share and implement best practices across the departments.  Build positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.  What your background should look like:

 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Preferred.  Minimum 10 years of experience in Tool Making, Machining or a related field will be considered.  Fluent in English  Proven experience in production or Tool Shop management within a manufacturing – preferably in Automotive industry  Strong understanding of lean management principles and value stream optimization.  Effective team leadership, conflict resolution, and coaching skills.  Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.  Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills  Competencies Motivating OthersBuilding Effective TeamsManaging and Measuring WorkValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, TeamworkSET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $120,900 – $181,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
