REPORTING TO:  HEAD OF MARKETING AND EXPORT SALES

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Brand / Therapy Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, market share, and revenue growth. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams including product development, marketing, sales, and regulatory affairs to ensure successful product launches and sustained market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for assigned therapy; Over the Counter (OTC) / Diabetes / Pain Management / Cough & Cold / Anti-infectives etc., including product positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify key trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to inform marketing strategies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory requirements.

Lead the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and in-store promotions.

Analyze sales data and market trends to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and identify areas for improvement.

Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders and collect key insights during field work with sales team (Minimum 7 Days/Month across countries of operations (SSA).

Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards for assigned portfolio responsibility.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences or related field; B. Pharma (Preferred) MBA (preferred)

At least 3 years of experience in brand management

Therapy exposure to any or more of Over the Counter (OTC) medications, Diabetes, Pain management, Cough & Cold & Anti-infectives

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced & dynamic environment and adapt to organizational priorities.

Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry in Africa, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.

Excellent communication skills and creativity
