Test Automation EngineerOverviewWe have successfully finalized the modernization of our bill pay service and developed a decoupled and event-driven bill pay architecture. You will join us for the next phase and help enhance the value proposition of Betalingsservice, the leading ecosystem of account-to-account based bill pay used by more than 90% of Danish households.
Our Scrum teams are engaged with the improvement of user experience. They are looking for a passionate hands-on tester with drive to establish and support our test automation strategy across teams and applications. You are highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, possesses an entrepreneurial mindset and have outstanding communication skills. We have recently implemented ATDD (Acceptance test driven development). Key to success is experience with ATDD and test automation, as well as your ability to navigate in a self-service univers.
Role:
•\tCollaborate with Testers: Work closely with both onsite and near-shore testing teams to ensure seamless integration and communication.
•\tDaily Collaboration: Engage daily with developers and DevOps teams to enhance test automation processes.
•\tProduct Owner Interaction: Collaborate with Product Owners to provide necessary test data and facilitate user acceptance testing.
•\tCI/CD Integration: Integrate automated testing into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
•\tFramework Development: Create and develop robust test automation frameworks and test data.
•\tScript Design: Design and develop test automation scripts across all levels of the testing pyramid.
•\tEnd-to-End Automation: Implement end-to-end test automation solutions.
•\tProcess Development: Develop and implement effective processes and approaches for automation testing.
All about you:
•\tAutomation Testing Experience: Proven knowledge and experience in automation testing.
•\tAcceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD): Experience with ATDD, incl. automation of acceptance tests for regression testing.
•\tJava Expertise: Proficiency in Java programming language.
•\tCucumber Knowledge: Experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven development.
•\tKarate Framework: Familiarity with Karate for API testing.
•\tPerformance Testing: Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
•\tAnalytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking abilities.
•\tTechnical Understanding: Deep understanding of complex systems and their integration.
•\tDatabase Experience: Experience working with databases, particularly Oracle and DB2.
•\tSoftware Development Lifecycle: Knowledge and understanding of the software development and QA lifecycle.
•\tBug Reporting Tools: Experience with bug reporting tools and test management tools, especially Jira.
•\tCommunication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
Preferred Experience:
•\tRelevant Roles: +2 years’ experience in roles such as Test Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, Software Tester, Software QA, or Software Developer.
•\tBrowser and API Testing: Experience with browser and API testing.
•\tTesting Tools: Familiarity with necessary testing tools and frameworks such as Gherkin.
•\tContinuous Learning: Curiosity and interest in expanding competencies and learning new products, systems, and processes.
•\tAgile Experience: Experience working in agile (scrum) teams.
•\tDevOps Tools: Experience with DevOps tool chains like Jira.
