**About the role:**
Liquid I.V. is looking for an organized and effective technician to support R&D activities for both the Consumer Sensory Sciences and Product Development teams. This role will be primarily on-site at the El Segundo, CA HQ with 3-5 days in office expectations pending activities occurring in that given week.
The ideal candidate will be an agile multi-tasker and be able to execute projects/experiments on their own, while also supporting research programs for sensory and product development scientists.
**Functions and duties of this role include, but not limited to:**
+ Support product studies both internally and externally with research agencies and lead scientists.
+ Maintain and train employee sensory tasting & product review panels.
+ Coordinate product tastings/reviews for internal prototypes, product studies, and competitive reviews.
+ Execute and interpret data of small-scale product sensory studies with support of Sensory leads.
+ Develop and edit sensory ballots with support of Sensory leads.
+ Coordinate & order/ship product samples to panelists and key stakeholders throughout product testing/development journey.
+ Track payment of sensory & product development projects with external agencies and maintain log of activities.
+ Organize and maintain database of both sensory and product development experiments and documents for future reference.
+ Batch and produce benchtop scale products for lead product development scientists and self-led projects.
+ Assist product development scientists in benchtop experiments and lead stability studies.
+ Create, review, and work-flow raw material and finished good specifications with support of lead product development scientists.
+ Own & manage inventory of ‘product control’ program for manufacturing network and quality department counterparts with support of lead scientists.
+ Maintain and organize a clean/presentable laboratory space.
+ Manage and inventory laboratory supplies, raw materials, and misc. items to ensure efficient operations for both sensory and product development functions.
+ Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated on a schedule.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, preferably in Food Science, Nutrition, Psychology, and/or Sensory Sciences.
+ Experience and proficiency in running consumer sensory tastings & product reviews preferred.
+ Laboratory operations lead experience a must.
+ Experience running experiments on a laboratory bench utilizing laboratory equipment.
+ Strong organizational skills and detailed orientation a must.
+ Proficiency in using data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and Compusense.
+ Ability to multitask and partner with manager/lead-scientists to prioritize work.
+ Flexible and adaptable to change.

**Work Environment:**
+ Hybrid office environment with flexibility for industry events. In office 3-5 days per week.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
The expected salary range for this position is $61,500 - $92,300 annually and is bonus eligible. The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget.
