We are now looking for a Team Manager to support, develop, coach and grow our Espoo R&D team. Your team's key focus will be on large applications on virtualized/containerized software systems. Applications are in the area of managing the system configurations, end-to-end solutions, including the user interface. The network management system itself is deployed world-wide to companies providing mobile services. In our project we utilize agile, lean and DevOps methods.

You have:

Experience of managing an SW development team and leading small to medium SW development projects of your teamExperience of defining a clear scope, setting targets and defining performance measures in addition to skills to ensure team members have the right abilities to secure current and future business needsExperience of recruiting and onboardingKnowledge of DevOps, Jenkins, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, Kubernetes or containerized applicationsTechnical background with some understanding of SW development challenges (prior knowledge of Java or Go usage)Some knowledge of RAN and Cloud RAN technologiesGood communication skills (in written and spoken English) with experience of sharing and translating strategy and top-down internal messagesSelf-driven attitude and the ability to take responsibility for your own work and to tolerate uncertainty

It would be nice if you also had:

Understanding of the relevance of automated deployment and testing (at different levels, automation, tools)Knowledge of large software system deploymentAn interest in additional responsibilities if assigned to cross-unit management
