Requisition ID: req57278 Job Title: Team Leader Menstrual Hygiene Research Project Sector: Child Protection Employment Category: Fixed Term Employment Type: Full-Time Open to Expatriates: No Location: Athens, Greece Work Arrangement:Hybrid Job Description In collaboration with UNICEF and the Ministry of Health, IRC Hellas, supporting the ‘Health Promotion of Adolescent Girls through Menstruation Destigmatization’ project as one of the three key pillars of the ‘National Action for the Promotion of Family and Child Health in Greece 2023 – 2025’, will be implementing a Policy analysis, Policy recommendations Investment case, on Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) of Adolescent Girls in Greece. We are seeking a Team Leader (Project Manager), who will be in charge of the overall management of the program and its deliverables, the recruitment and management of the team members, and collaboration with stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Project Management • Oversee all aspects of project cycle management (programmatic, financial, administrative) • Manage recruitment and the program team • Coordinate with UNICEF, Ministry of Health, and other program stakeholders. • Lead the collaboration with internal IRC departments • Familiarize and follow all internal processes • Ensure project deliverables are achieved Desk Review and Secondary Research • Conduct the desk review and contribute to the research project design • Finalize the Inception report in cooperation with the researcher • Coordinate and facilitate the research process in collaboration with the researcher(s) • Manage external coordination and ethical recruitment of research participants • Support the researcher in conducting focus group discussions and key informant interviews • Support the creation and dissemination of a national survey for adolescent girls’ menstrual health and hygiene • Draft the investment case with the support of the researcher • Work together with the Grants’ department of the IRC to map potential donors interested in menstrual hygiene • Ensure the timeline, methodologies, review, and finalization of the research and documents produced Advocacy and Communication • Formulate the advocacy strategy in collaboration with advocacy colleagues and in coordination with UNICEF and the Ministry of Health • Organize the roundtable and all other advocacy material and actions with support from advocacy colleagues • Coordinate communication actions related to the project, in collaboration with IRC communication colleagues, UNICEF, and the Ministry of Health REQUIREMENTS • A master’s or higher degree in Public Policy, Governance, Law, Social Sciences, Public Health, Research and Evaluation, or a related field, or/and relevant work experience • Experience in managing projects, including research projects, and demonstrated ability to tightly coordinate new projects • Strong familiarity with the sociocultural context of Greece • Familiarity with qualitative research methods and experience in one or more of the following areas of expertise will be considered an asset: Research & Evaluation, Law, Public Policy, Behavioral Science, Public Health, and Education • Strong familiarity with the local context • Previous experience working with children/adolescents • Team player, responsive, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well, and work in cross-cultural settings • Strong sense of personal integrity • Strong negotiation and coordination skills • Cultural understanding and ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment • Fluency in Greek and English • Computer skills: Knowledge of MS Office, Internet, Outlook, and competency with new technologies • Former experience with IRC and UNICEF will be positively evaluated WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Working hours: Hybrid, working hours (9:00 – 17:00), • Location: Based in Athens, with necessary travel Due to the expected high number of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
