Our Exciting Opportunity:
The Ericsson Radio Product Team is responsible for all aspects of development for the next generation of wireless base stations: systemization, design, integration, and verification of multi-standard radios to create new capabilities and satisfy customer needs.
If you are selected for this position, you will work as part of the Radio Product Systems and Integration team, which does hardware and software design and integrates them to validate the functionality and performance of new radio products.

 

In this Role you will:

Work in a tight collaborative group focused on designing, testing and troubleshooting new hardware/software Radios to ensure that the overall product can meet its functional and performance requirementsLead taskforces and technical teams during the design and integration of radio productsConnect multiple digital & analog radio frequency (RF) designs into a product prototypeBe responsible for the functional and performance integration of new productsDevelop calibration and performance optimization proceduresDefine test coverage required for product integrationImplement test automation and validation methods using scripting in python or MATLABAnalyze results, drive product design updates, identify potential system design shortcomings, and influence future designsPerform statistical analysis of measurement data

 

To be successful in this internship you will need:

Master’s degree in programs specialized in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering or a related field. A Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience.More than 10 years of experience designing/developing/integrating Radio ProductsExperience with 3GPP standardsLeadership in understanding the complexities of Radio development and directing experienced RF engineers.Strong troubleshooting acumenStrong problem solving and analytical skillsStrong team and interpersonal skillsStrong object-oriented programming skills (Python, C++ an asset)Scripting skills in MATLAB are an assetRF Engineering skills are an assetEnergy and drive to thrive in a dynamic product development environmentProficient English skills, both written and spoken

Other useful skills:

Experience with lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power suppliesProficient knowledge of wireless communication standardsUnderstanding of analog/digital hardware building blocks
