We’re looking for a skilled System Administrator to join our team and help maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize a wide variety of IT systems.

We are hiring a seasoned System Administrator – Level 3 to provide advanced technical leadership and hands-on support for implementation, troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance of IT systems. This role supports complex enterprise infrastructure and architecture, including UNIX/Linux/Windows systems, virtual environments, and mission systems. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in system engineering, security compliance, escalation resolution, and mission-aligned IT environments.

Responsibilities:

Lead implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex IT systems

Manage day-to-day operations, system monitoring, and performance optimization across diverse platforms

Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 technical support and root cause analysis for escalated issues

Perform account lifecycle management and ensure compliance with Identity & Access Control Management (ICAM) policy

Ensure proper application of security patches (IAVA) and maintain accurate tracking in systems of record

Conduct detailed system analysis and capacity planning

Analyze and resolve hardware/software integration issues across server and network infrastructures

Design and support system architecture and hardware requirements in mission environments

Apply expert knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and Windows systems and networking

Coordinate system changes with ISSO and ISO, and maintain documentation per Change & Configuration Management policies

Support the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) and security authorization process

Maintain and support Trusted Thin Client, enhanced VDI, and mission island concepts as required

Leverage understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and interdependencies between systems

Communicate effectively with agency leadership, internal customers, and service teams

If assigned to Directory Services TTOs: manage and support Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, MS Exchange, Active Roles Server, and Privileged Account Management (PAM)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (4 additional years of SA experience may substitute for degree)

15+ years of experience as a System Administrator supporting complex programs and environments

6 years of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM)

Certifications:

DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or equivalent)

Computing Environment (CE) Certification (Microsoft OS, Red Hat/CentOS, or equivalent)

ITIL 4 Foundation certification (required)

Preferred Skills:

Expertise with system integration, hardware/software troubleshooting, and enterprise environments

Familiarity with Trusted Thin Client, enhanced VDI technologies (e.g., remote GPU, memory scaling), and mission islands

Experience designing and maintaining secure environments compliant with federal security standards

Strong understanding of directory and identity services architecture, especially in classified environments

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
