System Administrator: Oracle Middleware / PaaS Platform

As part of the AMS (Application Management Services) cloud Engineering/operations team looking for a Senior Manager to lead the team in Oracle India. As a key team member, one will use their experience to solve problems and implement new engineering and operational efficiencies that benefit the company. This individual will need to collaborate effectively with internal collaborators and cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.

Responsibilities

Good Knowledge of Unix / Linux OS including managing/monitoring various processes, the overall health of OS / File systems, etc.

Good knowledge of Windows Server OS and its functions including managing IIS, registry, various services etc.

Experience in Administration, Maintenance, and support of SaaS applications is a must

Hands-on experience in both Windows and Linux OS

Hands-on experience and proficiency in knowledge of SQL, and Oracle Database is desirable

Hands-on experience in Automation scripting knowledge (Perl, Python, and Unix Shell Scripting etc.) is highly preferred – with an attitude of building automated processes wherever possible as part of the system

A solid understanding of IaaC tools like Dockers, Kubernetes, Terraform and Ansible will be a plus

Awareness and knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services

Awareness of critical DevOps and Agile principles concepts with familiarity with deployment automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, etc.

A solid understanding of Incidence management and root cause analysis for problem management is a must

Possesses some preferred Certification(s) is important:

CCNA(Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching)

MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)

OEL (Oracle Linux Certification), LPI Certification Programs

ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)

Cloud provider certifications - OCI (preferred) or others AWS, Azure, GCP

Experience in working 24*7 (Including Night Shift) shift model to meet the business need to support production systems operations is required

The ability to resolve and troubleshoot the issues reported by customers during the respective shifts is an absolute need in the customer application production environments

Should have worked on any ticketing tools (Remedy, CX) to manage Cloud operations 

Administration, Maintenance and support of Argus Safety suite products and Oracle Fusion Middleware instances on non-production and production environments

Experience with Disaster Recovery, Windows/Linux/Unix, web technologies

Have an understanding of cloud computing concepts/technologies & Devops in the areas of SaaS, IaaS etc like Compute, Storage, Networks etc to manage SaaS products

Qualifications:

BS/MS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent Total 6+ years of solid experience with strong technical skills in areas of SaaS Application Support, cloud engineering, infrastructure and operations Solid grasp of Linux/Windows OS and its command line admin tools Possess strong technical skills in automation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving in the Windows, and Linux server environments to support SaaS applications Passionate about problem-solving complex issues, ability to dive in and learn complex systems Possess knowledge in Oracle RDBMS is required Proficient in automation scripting knowledge (Perl, Python, and Unix Shell Scripting etc.) is preferred Strong experience in SQL is a MUST, database tuning and additional DB skills to troubleshoot performance issues of the application are a plus Possess and demonstrate strong written and oral communication, influencing/negotiating skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely with a “Can Do” attitude Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel, proactive, self-motivated, diligent, meticulous and organized The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment and to provide technical skills support to the team with high collaboration, and teamwork behaviors is key Prior experience working in the DevOps model, OCI Oracle Cloud Infrastructure & associated certifications is a plus Good knowledge of the Argus Safety Suite of products is a plus Having project implementation experience in Argus Safety 8.2+ applications including FMW (Fusion Middleware) products, Oracle Application Server(OAS), Oracle SOA/B2B, and Axway is a plus Exposure and understanding of Argus Enterprise components like Argus Mart, Analytics, and other integration (SSO, Axway, Oracle B2B) is a plus
