Job DescriptionDesign, document and implement new systems, as well as enhancements and modifications to existing software with code that complies with design specifications and meets security and Java best practices.Use AI tools effectively to increase velocity of delivery.Interact with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver high quality products and services that meet business requirements and expectations while applying the latest available tools and technologyHave a passion for delivering zero defect code and be responsible for ensuring the team's deliverables meet or exceed business expectationsIdentify opportunities for product innovation and strive for improvements to best practices, standards and processesMentor junior developers to ensure deliverables are on time with good code qualityCoordinate Continuous Integration activities, testing automation frameworks and other related items in addition to contributing core product codePresent technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with 1 year of Software Development Experience or a Masters degree with 1 years of Software Development Experience.
• Experience with Java, Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka
• Experience with Spring, hibernate and RDBMS technologies like PostgreSQL, Oracle
• Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear & concise way, a team player with a strong work ethic
• Responsible, self-directed, forward thinker, and operates with focus, discipline and minimal supervision.
• Experience working in Agile environments to work in a fast-paced environment where iterative changes may need to go out in rapid succession.
• Knowledge of web services standards and related technologies (XML, SOAP, JSON, REST, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge in Agile development incorporating TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, utilizing technologies such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef, Sonar, JUnit, Mock frameworks.
• Knowledge in web service standards and related patterns (REST, JSON)
