Support Engineer

As a Chemical Support Engineer, you will be the primary support for your district to ensure treatment chemicals and equipment are used effectively, economically and safely at accounts within the district. You will also assist and work alongside sales account managers with the design and implementation of treatment programs.

What You'll Do:

Routine service visits and testing as required to ensure safe and effective treatment programs within the pulp and paper industry.

Update databases with each service visit and generate weekly service reports as required

Assists with technical issues at customer sites, brings any issues to the customers attention and puts together a plan for corrective action – ensures the sales account manager is kept informed 

Look for growth opportunities at existing customers and assist with growth opportunities at prospect accounts as required

Assist with data analysis on program performance

Routine monitoring and maintenance of feed equipment as required

Participate in technical training opportunities for advancement of skills and knowledge

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree).

Solving complex and non-routine technical problems

Strong relationship management skills

Industry and customer literate, or ability to pick up industry and Solenis technologies quickly  

Drive for results; proactively addresses complex issues 

Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) 

Must live within the La Tuque area

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Must have a Valid Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record

En tant qu’ingénieur de soutien chimique, vous serez le principal point de contact pour votre district afin de garantir que les produits chimiques de traitement et les équipements sont utilisés de manière efficace, économique et sécuritaire chez les clients de la région. Vous assisterez également les gestionnaires de comptes dans la conception et la mise en œuvre de programmes de traitement.

Ce que vous ferez :

Effectuer des visites de service de routine et des tests au besoin pour assurer la sécurité et l’efficacité des programmes de traitement dans l’industrie des pâtes et papiers.

Mettre à jour les bases de données après chaque visite de service et générer des rapports hebdomadaires, selon les besoins.

Apporter un soutien en cas de problèmes techniques sur les sites des clients, signaler toute problématique aux clients et élaborer un plan d’action correctif — tout en tenant le gestionnaire de compte informé.

Identifier des opportunités de croissance chez les clients existants et soutenir les initiatives de développement auprès des clients potentiels.

Aider à l’analyse des données sur la performance des programmes.

Assurer la surveillance et l’entretien de routine des équipements d’alimentation, selon les besoins.

Participer à des formations techniques afin de faire progresser vos compétences et vos connaissances.

Ce que vous apporterez :

Baccalauréat en sciences ou dans un domaine technique connexe.

Capacité à résoudre des problèmes techniques complexes et non routiniers.

Solides compétences en gestion des relations clients.

Connaissance de l’industrie et des clients, ou capacité à apprendre rapidement le secteur et les technologies de Solenis.

Sens des résultats ; aptitude à gérer de manière proactive des enjeux complexes.

Maîtrise de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel et PowerPoint).

Résidence dans la région de La Tuque.

Capacité à réussir une vérification des antécédents criminels.

Permis de conduire valide et bon dossier de conduite.
