Supply Chain Planner – Non Standard Requests (NSR)

The Material and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries. We design and manufacture high-performance electron microscopes that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales. Combining hardware and software expertise in electron, ion, and light microscopy with deep application knowledge in the materials science, life sciences, electronics, and natural resources markets, the worldwide team of 5,000 people are dedicated to customers' pursuit of discovery and resolution to global challenges.
The Position
At our site in Eindhoven we develop and produce innovative Transmission Microscopes. It takes around a year to build and test these high end systems before we can ship it to our customers. Due to unique customer requirements, experimental projects or unforeseen issues during production, Non Standard Requests (NSRs) can arise. In this role as NSR Planner you will take care of requests that deviate from the established procedures, specification or standards in the manufacturing process. NSRs usually require a thorough review and approval process to ensure that any deviations do not compromise product quality, safety, or compliance with regulations. The NSR Planner works on planning, executing, and deploying Non Standard Requests (NSR) from inception to customer adoption.
NSRs can have significant impact on the supply chain because they often require unique components with different purchasing and manufacturing lead times and it requires customer specific planning methods and inventory controls. To be successful, intensive interaction with stakeholders (i.e., Procurement, Engineering, R&D, Product Marketing etc.) is mandatory. Our ultimate goal is to deliver the perfect order to all our end-users. In this role as NSR Planner you will be part of the Systems & Module Planning team and report to the Planning Manager.
The key responsibilities are:
Create a detailed Logistics implementation plan, including timelines and Bill of Material (BoM) and MRP Master data.Evaluate requests by thoroughly assessing the need and justification for the NSR, including supply chain feasibility and potential impact on PlanningCoordinate with relevant stakeholders to gather input and secure on time shipment toward customersEnsure clear and effective communication throughout the process to keep all parties informed of progress and changes. Bachalor degree in Supply Chain Management/Industrial Engineering5+ years’ experience in a Supply Chain/Logistics roleExperience in handling New Product Introductions (prioritization, planning, scheduling, status reporting)Analytical skills, experience with spreadsheet modelling and familiarity with database capabilitiesPreferably experienced with ERP systems (QAD and CRM is a strong pre)Excellent interpersonal competences, work pleasantly with people with differing backgrounds and in different departments.English/Dutch (at least B2) languagesCan do mentality, achieving results and getting the job doneOur offer
