Supply Chain Development Manager

The position serves both to BAMECA (Business Area Middle East, Central Asia) and BAAF (Business Area Africa). The position will be based in Istanbul,Türkiye and will directly be reporting to Supply Chain COE Director, BAMECA & BAAF.

 

The position

As Supply Chain Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading supply chain COE (Center of Excellence) projects and initiatives based on global and regional Supply Chain Strategy. You will drive process optimisation and ensure an optimal setup by continuously improving the supply chain. The job entails stakeholder management and providing proactive, timely, and adequate support to stakeholders locally as well as in the BA’s. The incumbent works also in close collaboration with regional supply chain development function.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Drive and execute strategic Supply Chain projects and initiatives in BAMECA and BAAF, ensuring their effective implementation, take lead on supply chain optimisation and transformation in line with regional and IO initiatives, lead projects to minimize environmental impact and improve sustainability performance across the supply chain, Improve operational excellence within BAMECA & BAAF- being ambassador for process improvements and driving progress and change in close collaboration with stakeholders, ensure  a successful integration of our Global Business Services into the local supply chain set-up, Acting as the interface between the different affiliates, ensuring alignment and collaboration on common development initiatives, work with the countries and support them in managing the relations with existing Supply Chain partners, and develop strategies to improve their performance, Lead change management activities at the business area and affiliate levels, ensuring best practice sharing and driving the implementation of a continuous improvement mindset in the business area, development and implementation of new distribution channel partner programs,plan and execute according to agreed objectives and milestones of the projects. Support process improvement for streamlining demand and supply processes, also support with ad-hoc analysis, drive/support digitalization initiatives across BAMECA & BAAF, working closely with Regional Analytics & Digitalization team and relevant project groups.

 

Qualifications

You have experience in Supply Chain operations, stakeholder management, strategy development and deployment, and change/transformation management. In order to succeed in the role, you need a strong suply chain understanding, a result -driven approach and commitment to creating continuous improvement.

Our ideal candidate:

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration Has several years of experience in Supply Chain and project management, preferably within highly regulated industries, such as pharma, biotech, or FMCG. Showcase fluency in both written and spoken English. Have strong communication skills and effective meeting facilitation skills. Advanced user in Powerpoint. Having an experience in SAP MM, supply and demand planning systems and tools would be considered as a plus. Have the experience of working in cross cultural teams and cross organisational stakeholder management. Have an innovative mindset, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify and explore new solutions for supply chain optimisation

 

About the department

BAMECA (Business Area Middle East, Central Asia) and BAAF (Business Area Africa) are part of Region EM (Emerging Markets), and in total cover 76 countries. The business area office is in Istanbul. The Supply Chain unit is a part of the BAMECA Finance & Operations Department and serves as a center of excellence for BAMECA & BAAF.
