**Onsite - Sunday-Thursday 10pm - 6:30am. (Will train on 1st shift for 2 months Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm)**
As a Production Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising the manufacturing of new and existing products according to pre-determined operations in accordance with agreed planning, yield, production-cost and quality consistent with SHE requirements. Drives the end-to-end materials conversion process which includes cost of production (especially usage and yield), quality of product, timely delivery and production to plan. Provides project implementation and start up support for capital improvement projects. Responsible for the safety of the production personnel, including visitors and contractors in the production areas. Assure that dsm-firmenich products are of consistent and high quality by supervisor assigned areas in compliance with SHE and quality system requirements to achieve customer quality and service expectations. **Responsibilities:**
+ Ensures the agreed volume of products is produced in conformity with planning and cost.
+ Provides leadership in the development and planning of personnel and plant safety activities and ensures compliance to safety policies and procedures.
+ Monitors and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the production department.
+ Identifies areas for efficiency improvements and manages implementation by keeping and reviewing records, observing current practices and evaluating input from production employees.
+ Actively participates in and supports all DSM Integrated Continuous Improvement (DICI) activities and encourage others to do the same.
+ Support identification of Inspector and/or Technician Manufacturing priorities working in alignment with the Lead Inspector and/or Senior Team Lead Manufacturing.
+ Assist in qualifications for new inspection and production tools.
+ Plans details of production schedule execution by working with the planning department on schedule updates and informing them of any problem that cause delays in production.
+ Manages and enforces GMPs and Quality Policies to ensure products meet specifications by spending time working with each shift, correcting deviations, Analyze non-conformances to recommended material disposition path and working with the Quality department on corrective actions.
+ Contributes to the improvement of the overall performance of the plant, while following the site Management of Change (MOC) procedure.
+ Interacts with Maintenance, QC, QA, and Warehouse to identify/resolve production related issues in a timely manner.
+ Monitors and provides input on the planning of routine manufacturing area and equipment maintenance, as well as Blue Mountain work order submissions to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
+ Responsible for implementing MOC process for production-initiated change requests.

**You bring:**
+ Associate or Technical level degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent education and experience. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
+ Good communications skills, understanding of engineering concepts, proven supervisory and management skills, computer literacy
+ 2-3 years in a relevant industrial environment with supervisory experience.
+ Previous experience in a GMP biotech/ pharmaceutical/ food environment preferred.
+ Demonstrate, promote, and comply with all dsm-firmenich Life Saving Rules through active discussion in team meetings and holding employees accountable for their SHE behaviors and attitudes. Follows all SHE instructions and procedures to include ensuring awareness of and following all dsm-firmenich Life Saving Rules. + Displays and promotes positive safety behaviors at all times; uses proper personal protective equipment (PPE), appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedures to ensure that self and others go home safe each day; that area and equipment operate at the highest safety levels; that all people in the area comply with the safety directives and keep the area neat and clean.
+ Ensures that the competences of the employees are sufficient to let them perform their task in a SHE responsible way.
+ Develop and updates production department Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and permit to work.
+ Participates in site Hazardous Operations (HAZOP) team as required and participates in operational audits.
+ Shows leadership by working to SHE standards and encouraging colleagues to work to the same standards.
