Job Description• Conducts meetings with shopfloor personnel as well as with production supervisors to ensure work is properly delegated and deadlines are met.
• Maintains the ability to prioritize projects and ensures they remain on schedule.
• Supports and strives towards safety in all facets of the manufacturing facility.
• Coordinates all activities necessary to fulfill the production schedule by line per shift, taking care about product quality requirements as per control plan.
• Manufactures products by supervising staff, organizing and monitoring workflow.
• Verifies and releases production plan (Heiijunkas) according with capacities and available shifts.
• Takes the lead of multifunctional team to reach the KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).
• Assures the compliance of BPS (Bosch Production System) by following the standards.
• Responsible for leading operations personnel through leadership tools (Coaching, mentoring, guiding, etc.).
• Supports deployment of Quality basics.
• Supports in the headcount planning according with production volume forecast.
• Administration of the resources of the VS (Headcount, Overtime, Inventories, etc.).
• Reviews and ensures that the production line reaches the required level of production and quality on daily basis (Relative Utilization, Leveling Performance & Internal Defect Cost).
• Ensures process confirmation is conducted within operations personnel.
• Assures communication among shifts and a proper overlapping between shift-change.
• Ensures that assigned personnel have the training and certifications according their competence matrix (CPtM).
• Plans & approves the overtime.
• Provides and supports Bosch Production System, Policy Deployment and teamwork.
• Continuously improves quality, cost, productivity, uptime machinery, relative utilization, turnover, absenteeism.
• Communicates plant goals, policies, information to manufacturing personnel in two ways.
• Promotes and supports Safety, Quality and Environment Plant goals.
• Assures production control, avoiding having an excess of material on the production floor.
• Ensures the follow-up of Daily Management meeting structure.
• Ensures LPAs are conducted.
• Ensures on-time response on product audits deviations.
• Follows the Lead Supervisor standardized work, and makes sure his / her team follow their one as well.
• Ensures compliance of BPS programs (Standardized Work, Leveling, 6s, Kanban, FIFO).
• Makes sure the usage of Problem-Solving tools and Quality principles.
• Supports Tachinbo practices.
• Ensures the follow-up of Heijunka and DPI standards.
• Production monitoring report.
• Supports releasing material on Hold.
• Promotes and leads relative utilization and Productivity improvements through PDCA cycles.
Qualifications
• 3+ years in a similar position • Strong results-orientation approach and mindset to constantly and systematically aim to achieve tasks and the corresponding business targets (safety, production quantity, quality, cost) with an organized hands-on approach.
- The Lead Supervisor should derive job satisfaction of getting hourly perfect hours.
- Understanding and own the metrics to be achieved is key.
• Mental & physical resilience to do this task consistently day after day.
• Customer requirements compliance.
• Movement and time basic knowledge.
• Strong abilities in time and resources management. Understanding the financial aspects of manufacturing is important.
• Strong knowledge in ergonomics.
• APQP, IATF, ISO 14000 knowledge.
• Strong competencies in Problem Solving Methods (8D, Fishbone, 5Why, 6Sigma/Shainin, ...)
• Preventive mindset (data analyst).
• Strong competencies in production environment. Manufacturing processes, machinery, and quality control standards.
• Strong proven competencies in Lean Manufacturing.
• Creativity and curiosity to constantly develop and improve manufacturing standards without external trigger.
• Ability to create a collaborative environment with the service departments to be seen as a collaborative customer.
• Able to pull support from others when needed in a demanding, yet acceptable way.
• Ability to remove roadblocks.
• Moderation and communication/negotiation skills.
• Ability to strongly engage others to become genuine owners of achieving production targets. Inspiring and motivating others is key.
• Strong English skills.
• People handling & development skills.
• Knowledge in SAP P72 System production.
• Knowledge in SAP P59 for manufacturing personnel administration.
