DESIRABLE: + Two year degree course in Culinary Arts or equivalent training. + Certification from the New York State Department of Health. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: ESSENTIAL: Service Orientation + Excellent knife skills (chopping, slicing, dicing, etc. meat, vegetables, fish, fruits). + Knowledge of sauces and cooking techniques. Self-Efficacy + Ability to execute recipes involving all phases. + Ability to prepare all dishes consistently and according to chef’s specifications/ instructions. + Ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Other Physical Skills + Ability to stand for long period of time and withstand high temperature. + Ability to bend/lift/push/pull/carry around equipment, etc. in excess of 50 lbs.
