Job Description

The Analyst, Strategy & Operations is a full-time role based in London and reports to the Head of Strategy & Operations for Europe Government Engagement (GE) Government Engagement. This is a supporting role focused on GE's Business Planning, Operations and Strategic Engagement across the Europe Region. The role is hub in scope, therefore covers the Visa Europe Region. Some travel in the region may be required on rare occasions.

Headline objectives of the role:

Provide the operational support needed to enable the GE team across Europe to execute thought leadership, direct and proactive advocacy, and robust stakeholder engagement.

Support efforts to fortify Europe GE capabilities, improving performance and strengthening teamwork. Promote a culture that maintains the highest degree of integrity, inclusion, accountability, and collaboration.

Implement a standard of operational excellence through Strategy and Operations collaboration and coordination.

Drive the continuous enhancement of function, toolkit and staff.

What we expect of you, day to day:

Lead the internal reporting framework, both operationally (i.e. the process) and strategically (i.e. ensuring strategic communication of impacts for Visa).

Lead and champion efforts to increase skills and learning within the team, including regular and ad hoc training programs.

Provide support and co-ordination for strategic engagement, including campaigns taking place across the region for GE, to drive maximum impact and ensure consistent execution with excellence.

Support with budget planning and oversight, including vendors and procurement.

Track and monitor performance against goals, objectives and strategies.

Commitment to improving employee engagement, communication, transparency, and collaboration.

Management and monitoring of political compliance processes and procedures

Ways of Working:

Learn and listen. Share know how and expertise with GE counterparts in other locations.

Communicate openly, timely and effectively with executives to ensure awareness of main regulatory, policy and engagement developments and strategy to protect Visa

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

QualificationsExperience in relevant corporate positions such as strategy, operations or consultancy - preferably in the payments, financial services or technology sectorsA demonstrable and significant interest in geopolitics and politics is essential, but not necessarily experience or ambition for this area as a careerVery strong communication, both written and oral, and stakeholder management skills. Experience of engaging with c-suite is desirableA high standard of organization is essentialAbility to influence and persuade peers and colleaguesAbility to think strategically, proactively and creativelyThere is a need to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentExperience of operating in complex matrix organizations and across different markets and cultures is a plus
