Strategic Proposal Writer 1

PURPOSE

Deliver high quality, professional, strategic proposal documents to customers in a timely manner. Ensure that text clearly and succinctly conveys technical understanding and best value solutions. Ensure that the proposal content addresses the customer’s needs and ‘hot buttons’, as well as IQVIA differentiators.

Work with proposal developers (PDs) and provide overall strategic guidance to the proposal process. Responsible for professional quality of proposals and ensuring:

Content is on point: Addresses customer hot buttons, specific needs and IQVIA differentiators.Text is well-written: Concise, clear and coherent.Document is well presented: Follows usage and formatting conventions, is grammatically correct, consistent and well-presented.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the overall deliverables of RFP opportunities. Play a key role in ensuring that IQVIA`s delivery strategy is well-defined and presented in our client deliverables working closely with RFP Stakeholders, attending to strategy, storyboarding and reviewHelp ensure the agreed strategy meets the explicit and implicit needs of the customer.Ensure the strategy is agreed and locked early in the process.Position and write customized responses to specific RFP questions based on information gathered from various subject matter experts (SMEs). Position and write concise executive summaries that detail IQVIA’s key selling points and differentiators. Collaborate with and support PDs to ensure the proposal text is strategic; ensure overall cohesion and consistent messaging when incorporating input from various SMEs into master document; ensure timely submission of proposals.Critically review input from SMEs, ensuring that it is directly related to the study and customer’s needs, and that it is aligned with other team members’ input and the proposed strategy, while being in line with our Proposals Style GuideMaintain professional quality of proposals by ensuring text is concise, clear, and coherent; ensuring that the appropriate template is used, and that text adheres to proposal writing, formatting and presentation guidelines and conventions.Stay abreast of all new products and competitive trends. Understand persuasive language and what makes proposals compelling.Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Skilled at visualizing documents and communicating vision clearly and simply, verbally and in writing.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Innovative and creative thinking skills.Proven team leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Knowledge of CRO Industry.Excellent MS Word skills.Background in journalism, communications, writing specialization, or business very helpful.Ability and confidence to work independently, make sound decisions, and escalate appropriately in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.Ability to balance strong attention to detail with overall business and deliverable objectives.Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback in a positive manner.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent knowledge of proposal processes.Ability to interpret RFPs to gather top information and major cost drivers and ability to interpret protocols.Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and customers.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in related field and/ or direct experience in CRO Proposals and Contracts, clinical research, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication require accurate perception of speech.Extensive use of keyboard requires repetitive motion of fingers.Regular sitting for extended periods of time.Occasional travel.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $50,900.00 - $84,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
