DescriptionA dedicated and detail-oriented Stewarding Captain. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of kitchen and back-of-house areas, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and quality. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the team, controlling equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene, and continuously improving processes.
Key Responsibilities· Coordinate and supervise the daily operations of the stewarding team.· Ensure that all kitchen and back-of-house areas are clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.· Ensure the proper, safe, and efficient use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.· Ensure full compliance with all hygiene, fire safety, and waste management standards (including HACCP).· Organize training for team members and ensure the orientation of new employees.· Prepare monthly inventories and reports, track losses and breakages, and inform the operation accordingly.· Collaborate with suppliers and manage requests for necessary equipment and materials.· Continuously review operational processes and suggest improvements in terms of cost and efficiency.· Maintain team motivation, manage shift schedules, and effectively manage the workforce.· Ensure that all departments and events are provided with the necessary equipment in a complete and clean condition.· Communicate maintenance and repair needs to the relevant departments and follow up on them.· Fulfil additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.· Preferably experience in an international or luxury hotel, residence, resort, restaurant.· Strong team management, organization, and time management skills.· High commitment to hygiene, quality, and safety standards.· Responsible, hardworking, and solution-oriented.· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work in shifts.· Professional appearance and ethical work approach.· Knowledge of cleaning procedures, dishwashing machines, and chemical usage.· Basic knowledge of MS Office and hotel management systems is preferred.
