About the Role:
Join Ericsson's RU SW BB System team to develop cutting-edge baseband solutions enhanced with AI/ML. You'll design and optimize BB architectures and features to maximize radio product performance and efficiency. Collaborate with global R&D and AI teams to deliver industry-leading wireless solutions.
What you will do:
• Lead end-to-end BB system design for radio products, focusing on adaptive PHY/MAC algorithms and full performance optimization
• Develop innovative BB features to enhance RAN performance metrics for radio products
• Integrate AI/ML techniques to optimize:
- Radio resource management (eg. scheduling, interference mitigation)
- Advanced beamforming and MIMO systems
- Energy efficiency (eg. intelligent power control)
• Prototype and validate AI-enhanced BB features through simulations and field trials
• Create data-driven models for network optimization and anomaly detection
• Analyze real network data to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
The skills you bring:
• MSc/PhD in Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years experience in BB system design for LTE/5G/6G networks
• Strong background in AI/ML implementation (Python, C/C++)
• Hands-on experience with RAN performance analysis and optimization
• Deep understanding of 3GPP standards and O-RAN architectures
• Proven track record of innovation (patents, papers or deployed solutions)
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
