Job Summary:
The Ericsson Enterprise Solutions (formerly Cradlepoint) team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Product Manager to drive the development and launch of cost-effective hardware endpoints tailored for emerging markets. This role will be based in India and will be pivotal in expanding our market reach by creating solutions that address the specific needs and price sensitivities of these regions. You will work closely with Segment Product Managers to align hardware development with target use cases, while collaborating with local teams in India for design, manufacturing, and go-to-market strategies. You will play a crucial role in building a winning product line strategy for emerging markets, focusing on hardware that delivers essential features at competitive price points.
Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct in-depth market research to understand the unique requirements, competitive landscape, and pricing dynamics of emerging markets.Define and lead the product strategy for international hardware, aligning with Ericsson's overall vision and segment-specific needs.Identify and prioritize cost-effective hardware solutions that address key use cases in emerging markets.Product Development and Management: Collaborate with local engineering and manufacturing teams in India to design and develop hardware endpoints that meet cost and performance targets.Work with Segment Product Managers to ensure hardware aligns with the target use cases across various segments (e.g., retail, transportation, public safety).Define product requirements, specifications, and roadmaps for international hardware.Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality.Cost Optimization and Pricing: Drive cost optimization initiatives throughout the hardware development process.Develop competitive pricing strategies that align with market realities and profitability goals.Analyze and optimize the supply chain to minimize costs.Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and channel partners to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for emerging markets. Provide product training and support to sales and channel partners.Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive product improvements.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, data science, analytics, marketing, and sales teams.Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Monitor the progress of development and address any blockers.You Have:
10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on hardware development.5+ years of experience in wireless networking solutions (cellular, Wi-Fi, etc.) and edge devices (routers, switches, etc.).Proven track record of successfully launching hardware products in emerging markets.Strong understanding of cost optimization and pricing strategies.Experience working with local manufacturing and engineering teams in India.Deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges of emerging markets.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Location: India based.Travel: up to 25%
