The Opportunity
Our location in Lake County, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Procurement Specialist, Catalogs. The Specialist applies experience and procurement knowledge to execute procurement best practices and execute strategies across Global Procurement Services. Work with customers, internal and external, and the divisions to solve issues and drive high levels of customer service. This role will work across multiple verticals. The position will be responsible for driving business excellence through strategy, people and technologies with the various categories and divisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Proactively seek innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service levelsFull understanding of "One Procurement" strategies. Strong knowledge and project work across multiple categories that impact the team positively.Works within defined processes and procedures and may help determine appropriate approaches for change.PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Support completion of Catalogs, in alignment with Source to Pay strategy and Category strategiesEducate on existing solutions and enable performance and tech tools developmentCo-lead Community of Excellence for Catalogs and Contracts globally. As subject matter expert in global template and processes for Catalogs, work with global partners to understand local requirements and adjust Catalog process where needed.Communicate and drive change globally as a change champion within the Business Excellence organization and Source to Pay Technology platform. Lead resolution on issues within Source to Pay technology improvements.PROCESS MANAGEMENT/IMPROVEMENT
Seek innovative ways to maintain and improve procurement processes, cycle times, total acquisition costs, and customer service levels.Drive a defined Source to Pay process flow globally. Drive continuous improvement of sub-processes supporting STP and other Procurement activities.Develop and drive contract processes within a Contract Technology Platform.Maintain training system and coordinate Global Procurement training compliance.Support Delegation of Authority process.STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
Seek and support business relationships with diverse Catalog suppliers globallyWork with suppliers to implement Catalogs and trouble-shoot issuesMeet regularly with divisional customers and support functions to ensure good customer satisfaction and continuous improvement for CatalogsExhibit cultural awareness with foreign business entitiesAssist with change management, leading business to adopt change and embrace CatalogsCATEGORY SUPPORT
Provide analytical and execution support to Category Managers implementing strategy. Pivot between strategy, operations and transactional procurement.Assist Category Managers in identifying, developing and impolementing future catalog opporutnties.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Bachelor’s Degree: Engineering, Science, Business, or Financial Degree 4-6 years of Procurement experienceSource to Pay Process UnderstandingPreferred

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
