The Bioprocessing Equipment and Automation Manufacturing Department located in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician with experience in system level assembly and testing of bioprocessing control systems.
Position ObjectiveOur Santa Clara site seeks Senior Manufacturing Technician with experiences in system level assembly, integration, setup, testing and advanced troubleshooting of automated control systems while achieving/exceeding the quality standards. Strong technical background, manufacturing process oriented with the ability to participate effectively in multidisciplinary teams to address problems in manufacturing environment are essential. Experience in highly customized fast paced manufacturing environment is a plus.
What will you do?
Build and Functional Verification testing of automated control systems and sensorsAssembling, cabling, programming controllers and debugging automated bio-reactor systems based on Emerson DeltaV platformAssembling, modifying and debugging major subsystemsTruLogic (Delta V) assembly and testingModifying, upgrading debugging Control TowersProgramming transmitters and controller optionsBuilding cables, hoses etc. as neededBuilding, testing and modifying Mass Flow Controller assembliesStage systems for integration and testingSupport Production Planning on Work Order requirements, parts issued, etc.Support Engineering and new product introduction activities as requiredRedline/accurate released drawings and documentsSystem teardown and preparation for the Final Quality Assurance inspection processBecome a Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting system level troubleshooting and the group's training activitiesPerform In-process Quality Control Inspections on system configurations, BOM, controller layout and wiring schematics, product travelers and workmanship standardsSupport continuous process improvement activitiesSupport the Validation group during Factory Acceptance Testing activities as required.Understand scientific principles and technical know-how in order to proactively identify problems, exercise independent judgment.Demonstrate good time-management.Additional assemblies, testing and job-related duties as required.Familiar with working in structured AgileMinimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent experience required.Two years in a manufacturing technician roleExcellent verbal/written communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with AgileAS degree or equivalent experience.Advanced Technical Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Electronics, Biology, or related Military Training2-3 years of proven experience in manufacturing requiredComputer proficiency especially with MS suite7S manufacturing experienceISO 9001 CerificationPhysical/Environmental requirementsPhysical Activities include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move products. Level of Visual Acuity, Inspection, Close Assembly, transcription, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, operation of machines, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working with inert gases and voltage up to 480VAC. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $22.61–$33.91.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
