Job Description

The Sr Manager – Commercial Solutions Sales Lead – Puerto Rico is responsible for accelerating B2B payments penetration & adoption in the markets by working with our Client Financial Institutions, Acquirers and Fintechs to expand our solutions for both the Small Business and the Large and Middle Market segments, B2B Verticals and new payment flows. The Sr Manager – Puerto Rico will lead key commercialization initiatives including:

 

Establish, develop and manage the relationship between Visa and VCS Clients & Prospects, setting direction, and implementation of country VCS strategies to achieve business targets through growing the existing business and through identifying new business opportunities

Conduct competitive assessments to identify needs, gaps and commercial opportunities

Identify key industry trends and develop sales action plans, enabling and delivering content and education to support internal and external clients and spread the B2B innovation narrative for the segment.

The individual will work with various stakeholders within the group as well as broadly within Visa to execute on his/her deliverables.

 

The Sr Manager, Commercial Solutions Lead (Sales) – Puerto Rico brings a deep real passion for collaboration and ecosystem building as well as technology and payments, a futurist view, ability to understand and assemble trends in the respective industries and deep understanding of the B2B payments landscape. She/He will drive co-creation and human center design engagements with Clients and partners in Puerto Rico to co-develop innovative next generation solutions & proposals for companies of all sizes leveraging both our partners and Visa’s capabilities. She/He will work on highly complex issues leading multidisciplinary projects with minimal mentorship in a dynamic, ambiguous work environment, and will have the ability to independently translate high level mentorship into detailed deliverables. He/she will demonstrate good interpersonal skills and executive presence.

 

Responsibilities

Manages the setting, direction, and implementation of VCS strategies & commercial plans for Puerto Rico to grow B2B payments penetration, Visa´s market share in the segment & business targets through growing the existing business and through new business opportunities.Establish, develop, and manage the relationship between Visa and VCS clients, prospects, partners & enablers,Manage VCS targets, revenue generation & pipeline. Monitor business results, anticipate challenges and take proactive measures to accomplish commercial targetsIdentify, size and prioritize new business development opportunities and take accountability for and manage the project evaluation & execution of these.Lead strategic market wide initiatives to expand B2B payables & receivables programs with issuers, acquirers, processors, enablers and Visa teams securing last mile execution and program performance.Assess market needs, define, prioritize and lead key VCS go-to-market activities with key Visa stakeholders across multiple work stream, highlighting plans, risks and dependencies.Position as sales lead & subject matter expert in SMB, LMM, Verticals, Accounts Payables & Receivables.Work with cross-functional internal teams in multiple-regions to expand necessary functionality, address barriers and secure funding needed to advance key initiativesDevelop strategic partnerships to bring creative B2B payment solutions to market, amplify impact, and accelerate speed-to-marketActively monitor trends & developments in B2B payments and ecommerce, develop opinions/ideas on their implications for Visa and socialize internally and externally with key stakeholdersWork closely with Products teams, Innovation Designers, Implementations teams to identify the right themes, partners and B2B user experiences to rapidly prototype, secure go to market and commercialization.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

• Candidate should bring at least 8 years of relevant experience in the Business payments space and/or wholesale/small business banking (cash management, supplier payments, invoice processing, electronic invoicing, supply-chain financing, procurement, treasury, financial operations, business travel, etc.)
• Ideally experience in the commercialization of solutions for businesses of all sizes and across Verticals / use cases
• Ideally product management or consulting/investment banking role
• Experience evaluating a technology landscape, preferably within payments and commerce
• Passion for technology, futurist view and intellectually curious
• Experience working in project-driven environments and matrix reporting
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 153,800.00 to 223,050.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
