The Sr. Finance Manager, Operations is responsible for Global Financial Planning, Analysis and Controlling of Supply Chain, Service Supply Chain, and Contract Manufacturing Operations. Additionally, this individual will support inventory forecasting, reporting, and controls compliance.  A taskmaster of prioritizing, flexibility of mind, and sound understanding of operations finance, he/she will use data and reporting tools to support a rapidly evolving business (Instruments, Supply Planning, Service Supply Chain, Freight, Warranty, Cycle Counts).

This position is part of the Global Operations Finance Team and will be located onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.  At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Partner with Supply Chain Leadership to integrate Operations Finance’s objectives in support of Global Supply Chain’s imperatives

Drive Cost improvements (including PPV, VAVE, T&L, and Indirect Savings)

Participate in the design and creation of the working capital reporting / data model

Be the primary interface with internal / external auditors to ensure compliance of inventory key controls

Support (or lead) the development of the team to deliver high caliber business support

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience

Good knowledge of Cost Accounting, experience in Financial Analysis for operations, and solid inventory  forecasting/reporting/modeling

Strong business acumen with ability to provide business case scenario modeling and comparatives

High caliber user of Finance tools including SAP, Excel, Power BI, and OneStream (or similar consolidation tool)

Experience with continuous improvement, Kaizens, lean principles, supporting project management, and experience with Danaher Business Systems preferred

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Lean principles, TPI, Problem Solving Processes, Value Stream Mapping, etc.

RPA or other tasks automation tool

The salary range for this role is $130,400 - $185,000.  This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
