Sr. Corporate Counsel - Government Health

Role: Senior Corporate Counsel
Location: Preference is hybrid (2 or 3 days in the office) in our Reston or Kansas City offices. Hybrid from other Legal offices, or remote from other US locations, also acceptable.

Oracle’s North America Government Health and Life Sciences Legal Team is responsible for providing legal support for a broad range of technology transactions, including complex health information technology software license, computer hardware, cloud, and services contracts with Oracle's federal and state government customers and partners; and compliance with applicable laws. We work closely with Oracle executives to draft and negotiate sophisticated government agreements with government customers and coordinate the efforts of various internal organizations to ensure that Oracle contracts align with company policies and applicable law. We frequently negotiate contracts with decisionmakers and attorneys in federal, state, and local governments; we also provide legal guidance within the company on a broad range of legal and compliance matters. Our attorneys have instinctively good judgment and impeccable integrity. We are seeking an attorney who can be a strategic legal advisor, and a true dedicated problem-solver. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Senior Corporate Counsel for dynamic health information technology legal practice with experience advising clients on U.S Government contract matters, ideally with at least 8 – 10 years of experience. Legal work includes negotiation of complex health information technology contracts, regulatory compliance, and advising business clients on a broad range of legal and compliance issues. Experience in proposal development, negotiations, contract performance and dispute resolution in connection with Government programs. Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations such as Anti-Kickback and Stark Laws, HIPAA, HiTECH Act, Affordable Care Act, and specialized knowledge in healthcare and technology licensing and counseling. JD from an American Bar Association accredited law school. License to practice law in the U.S. Ability to travel as needed (limited, mostly to the DC area).
