Job Description

Position Summary

The Global Interchange & Pricing – Systems team is responsible for managing the technical strategy, solutions, enablement, and maintenance of interchange fee assessment logic and programs for Visa's business globally.

This individual contributor role main focus will be supporting the CEMEA region but may be required to support some of our Pricing and Interchange Strategy projects globally from time to time. This individual contributor role serves as a liaison between Interchange Strategy teams and internal development teams as well as Client-facing Sales and Merchant teams. This role will be responsible for working on projects of low-to-moderate complexity and will also coordinate implementation and related efforts of published interchange fee programs and strategic interchange fee programs with other Visa teams and external stakeholders, to ensure projects and programs are properly implemented.

The individual will develop and apply knowledge of Visa systems and processing systems to drive projects to completion. This position requires a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions and recommend Visa interchange program configurations and internal processing logic enhancements to meet program needs and successfully complete projects. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, with a background in Visa transaction processing and operational experience. They will think strategically and holistically about the business, be capable of identifying and resolving issues, and excel at quickly grasping and clearly communicating complex topics. The candidate must be able to work on several activities simultaneously and be a proven self-starter.

The ideal candidate will be an analytical, structured thinker, a creative problem solver, with the ability to synthesize and communicate findings to different audiences and should feel comfortable working independently and in a group seating. The position will be based in London with some travel expected.

Responsibilities:

Build and enhance positive working relationships with key stakeholders and internal staff.

Understand business needs and priorities to help the team develop solutions and recommendations.

Work with direct manager to understand needed strategies and achieve results by translating business needs into specific action plans.

Support the identification and necessary Visa processing systems enhancements to successfully support Visa interchange fee programs and processing capabilities.

Manage assignments that are diverse in scope and search out appropriate courses of action.

Gain Subject Matter Expertise (SME) of Visa internal systems processing capabilities and services through training, work experience and/or self-study.

Stay abreast of new rules, products and services, and industry and technology trends in support of Visa strategic goals and Client initiatives.

Use processing, technology, and business knowledge to assist stakeholders (internal and external) with inquiries related to interchange processing and fee programs.

Identify and analyze interchange processing issues, including client impact, and efficiently communicate status through to resolution.

Effective collaboration with cross-functional local and global teams.

Independent decision making with focus on client impact and strong team collaboration including formulation and delivery recommendations to stakeholders of all levels.

Support Global Interchange & Pricing Team development needs.

Define business requirements for new Interchange programs or enhancements to existing programs:

Analyze business needs and formulate implementation solutions.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery on commitment.

Set priorities, influence others, and manage stakeholder expectations.

Review technical designs, testing documents and user acceptance logs to ensure business requirements are met.

Support Merchant Specific interchange programs enablement through effective management of registrations, configurations, and ongoing support required to enable Merchant Fee Programs.

Support post implementation validation activities to ensure expected interchange fee assessment is applied.

Review Clients communications containing interchange fee programs related information.

Maintain group databases, group forms/templates, documentation and internal process flows.

Maintain team training material.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
3-5 years of work experience in card processing or financial services
1-3 years of work experience supporting Visa programs including interchange fee assessment
