Sr. Analyst, Finance Business Partner, Engineering Finance

Overview:
The Senior Analyst, Finance Business Partner, is an integral part of Mastercard’s Core Payments finance team, which supports the company’s mission to deliver seamless and secure payment solutions. This role focuses on providing financial support and analysis for core payments, products and platforms. The position also plays a key role in driving innovation and optimization strategies.
The finance team collaborates closely with business units to ensure strategic alignment, optimize financial performance, and support service owners with cost analysis and financial planning.

Role:
•\tSupports the Payment Network and Network Product divisions with financial and budget related needs; conducts financial analysis for divisional leadership
•\tPartner with divisional leadership for monthly accrual submissions
•\tAnalyze month end results and submit necessary reclass and accrual journal entries
•\tMaintain and build labor forecasting methodology
•\tAid in deal analysis, monitor purchase order and proper fixed asset and capitalization set-up
•\tPrepares monthly reporting and analysis of financial results and communicates to divisional management, including oversight of opportunities and risks related to financial plan
•\tDemonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and apply them
•\tPrepare financial ad-hoc reporting and analysis demonstrating insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to divisional partners and management in order to drive business results
•\tSupport various financial business cases, models, and standard templates ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review
•\tSupport service owners in understanding Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), key drivers, and unit costs; Partners with finance peers in managing TCO improvements and reporting for horizontal services

All About You:
•\tFinancial analysis experience with progressively increasing responsibility
•\tStrong background in both accounting and financial analysis (Accruals, journal entries, GAAP)
•\tAble to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
•\tDemonstrates the ability to build internal and external business partnerships to understand the needs and objectives of stakeholders
•\tExperience reviewing and analyzing financial and operational modeling to support moderate-to-complex projects
•\tExperienced with financial systems and applications (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle, Excel, Powerpoint). Advanced excel knowledge and attention to detail is required.
•\tExperience resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
•\tExperience working with colleagues from other business units and markets
•\tExperience creating and delivering presentations for internal learning, training events and/or business discussions with key stakeholders
