TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Global Industrial Readiness Leader with strong technical and team working capabilities, and deep experience in production and tooling/equipment launch. This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) and is responsible for establishing and executing a robust and consistent Industrial Readiness methodology across all ICT production facilities globally. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Director GME, Operations/Plant team, and GME team members in a high-growth, high-complexity environment undergoing a major business transformation for manufacturing technology.
This will be a remote position with occasional travel for site visits required.
**Your main tasks:**
+ Develop standards for plant onsite industrial readiness lead role, including job description, roles and responsibilities, skills matrix, etc
+ Install an industrial readiness engineer role in every production facility
+ Define a standard for industrial readiness assessment and measurement
+ Define and install systematic risk assessment tool and drive mitigation methodology
+ Redefine mass production trial (MPT) practices as a true PPAP simulation
+ Partner with PMO (project management office) to deploy and Alert Management System
+ Implement a Plant Launch Control Room in every production site, including visual management, tracking, risk assessment, escalation process
+ Responsible for establishing global industrial readiness tracking, with KPIs and ScoreCard
+ Establish and execute initiatives to reduce the length of industrialization phase, effectively reducing Time to Market
+ Establish and execute initiatives to reduce overall launch costs
**Your ideal background:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial administration or equivalent
+ Master’s degree preferred
+ 7+ years of experience in production and program launch
+ Minimum of 5 years in a leadership position
+ Trained in lean production systems
+ Proven track record of developing and leading strategic initiatives within a dynamic environment
+ Strong technology and people leadership skills across cultural, geographic, and functional boundaries
+ Ability to energize and motivate people around strategy initiatives
+ Experience in developing, implementing and improving key performance indicator metrics through strong data analysis and continuous improvement
+ Fluent in English, both written and spoken
