They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements. **What your background should look like:** **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** • More than 5 years Stamping Mold design, Process and Troubleshooting knowledge / experience. • Strong knowledge of tool fabrication, tool-steel application/selection, heat treating, and plating/coating. • Strong knowledge of injection Stamping Molding processes (Injection, Insert-Stamping Molding, two-shot, etc.). • Strong understanding of plastic, injection machine, auxiliary equipment (strip feed, camera). • Good at Stamping Mold flow simulation and analysis. • Familiar with different Die Materials. • Good project management skill,Ability to work on several projects at once. **AREAS OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** Manufacturing Process Development • Responsible for Design and Development of Stamping Mold tooling and Processes to support new product development. • Own DFM, PFMEA to optimize product design, process design and tooling design, Realizes sample tooling and product samples. • Determines the most suitable manufacturing concepts related to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. • Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and properly transferred to manufacturing upon First Article approval complete with documentation. • Integrate feedback and lessons learned into new Stamping Molds and Stamping Molding processes. Stamping Mold Development • Evaluate new Stamping Mold, die casting demand/cost for new projects. • Design and review the Stamping Mold and die casting with core team members meeting TE engineering and EHS requirement. • Upload all Stamping Mold tooling prints to TE data management system(DM.TEC, PDMLink). • Discuss and review details of Stamping Mold/die casting with outside suppl. • Follow up the purchasing process to fabricate new Stamping Mold/die casting. Qualification for Manufacturing process, Stamping Mold • Condition all Stamping Mold,die casting, lead the Stamping Mold/die casting qualification by running samples or LVM. • Follow up the documentations for qualification, using TE standdard format and follow up the aproval. • Coordinate pilot run for new Stamping Mold and solve engineering issues, make sure the Stamping Mold manufacturing process capability meet engineering, quality and customer requirement. Technician Guidance Coach, train and develop operator and technician in order to ensure their technique could be succeed and get continuous upgraded.
