Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Finance Controller to join our Client's Finance team. The Finance Controller will oversee all financial and accounting operations within the company, ensuring financial health, compliance, and effective financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, stakeholder management, attention to detail, and in-depth knowledge of financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
o Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
o Analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
o Ensure compliance with all accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to set financial targets.
o Monitor and analyze variances between actual performance and budgeted
o forecasts.
o Advise on cost optimization strategies and opportunities for revenue enhancement.
3. Financial Controls and Compliance:
o Develop and implement internal controls and processes to ensure the integrity of financial data.
o Oversee audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance to ensure all legal and financial obligations are met.
o Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting (Direct & Indirect) and other statutory filings.
4. Cash Flow and Working Capital Management:
o Manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.
o Oversee accounts payable and receivable to optimize cash flow and reduce financial risk.
o Evaluate capital expenditures and financing strategies to support the company’s growth objectives.
5. Team Leadership:
o Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and professional development.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
o Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations across the business.
6. Financial Systems & Technology:
o Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools.
o Recommend and drive improvements in financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
o Ensure all financial data is securely stored and backed up.
7. Strategic Financial Planning:
o Provide financial insights to guide decision-making at the executive level.
o Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analysis and business strategy development.
o Act as a trusted advisor on financial matters and contribute to long-term company planning.
Qualification & Desired Skill Set:
1) CA with minimum of 6-8 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles.
2) Experience with financial planning, reporting, and budgeting in a leadership capacity.
3) Knowledge of financial systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP etc).
4) Experience in financial analysis, business partnering, and forecasting.
5) Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
6) Problem solver and critical thinker mindset
7) Candidates from manufacturing preferred
