In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. As the **Sr** **Facilities Engineer** , you will be directly responsible (under direct supervision from the Facilities Manager) to lead continues improvement initiatives and reliability programs, aligned with Quality and Regulatory compliance, ensuring facilities equipment and services availability (Electrical, HVAC, Water, Compressed, building, services including but not limited to: janitorial, cafeteria, transportation, pest control and security). This person is accountable of leading facilities short- and long-term strategies that are aligned with the site strategic objectives and maintaining facilities KPIs. **What You’ll Do** + Implement methodologies to increase and maintain all facilities critical systems reliability to support operations needs and in compliance with Quality Regulatory requirements. + Lead projects/initiatives related to continues improvement of our existing facilities and utilities. + Report the results applying/implementing metrics and leading indicator for facilities department. + Ensures work is performed in compliance with established safety procedures, engineering specifications and local/external building codes and regulations. + Responsible of evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies. Leads assets lifecycle strategies per Abbott’s guidelines. + Interact with external and internal clients on the scope of the management and execution of projects related to the building infrastructure. Provides direct support to construction projects. + Interact and support key services including cafeteria, employee transportations, janitorial and pest control to implement continues improvement initiatives. + Support global and local strategies focused on achieving sustainability goals. + Support of the entire organization’s emergency preparedness, business continuity programs, commitment to protecting the environment, health and safety management system and energy management systems. + Support EHS initiatives and programs that help reduce lost work time and injuries, insure employee safety awareness and compliance with safety standards. + Work with limited supervision on the assigned tasks. + Support EMS and Energy Management System (EnMS) Programs and Initiatives related with Environmental, Health, Safety. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Maintenance, Mechatronic or Electrical engineering. + 5+ years of working experience on similar roles in facilities department including maintenance coordination. + Solid experience in infrastructure Project Management scope in all disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation and Services) + Solid experience in Infrastructure equipment and systems, maintenance, operation and troubleshooting under the scope of utilities and Facilities Engineering (Compressed Air, Power – Primary and Distribution), process, water, HVAC Systems, Fire protection). + Experience in commissioning, validation, qualifications, etc. in a regulated medical device, pharmaceutical, or electronic industry. + Good knowledge in following software: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project. + Fully bilingual English / Spanish required. **SHIFT C (Monday to Friday 10:00 pm to 6:00 am).** **Works** **100% on site** **Preferred Qualifications** + Previous experience working on night shift. + Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. + Master’s degree in project management, Business Administration or related field. + Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry. + Knowledge and practical experience in ISO 50001 and 14001. + Experience with cleanroom environments a strong positive. + Experience with direct supervision of employees.
