JOB PURPOSE:
Lead the sponsorships and events process on behalf of all brands, ensuring all sponsorships activities are in line with the company’s overall strategy, in line with each brand’s individual strategy, and executed flawlessly to ensure the best experiences for our consumers and the best foot forward for our brands.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set and execute a portfolio level strategy for the business, in accordance with demand space thinking, to clearly define the overall role of sponsorships for the business, and the overarching approach to sponsorships Assist individual brand teams in setting their own sponsorship strategies in support of the portfolio strategy, and in accordance with their own brand objectives and priorities Assist the trade marketing team in aligning trade sponsorship activities with overall portfolio strategy and individual brand sponsorship strategies Proactively source new sponsorship opportunities for each priority brand, in line with their overall sponsorship strategies and annual priorities Negotiate sponsorship agreements on behalf of all brands, in accordance with each brand’s budget Manage the overall contract process for sponsorships, ensuring all contracts are signed and executed in a timely manner and in accordance with Heineken standards Build and maintain long-term relationships with key promoters and sponsors in Jamaica and within the diaspora community Manage external agency partners to drive better agency execution, accountability, and overall sponsorship execution Ensure flawless execution of all sponsorship activities, in accordance with Heineken’s Responsible Marketing Code Manage internal stakeholders across commerce, supply chain, distribution, and security to ensure flawless execution of all sponsorship’s activity Develop, maintain, and disseminate a rolling calendar of sponsorship events across the portfolio Manage internal communications of sponsorships, ensuring internal stakeholders are made aware of sponsorship activities and able to attend where/when appropriate Mange internal giveaways of tickets to sponsored events Set, track, and report back on key KPIs for sponsorships activities Capture and share best practices from activations and events, with formal reporting and share outs back to the Commerce team and MT where appropriate Closely monitor competitive activity in the sponsorships space and formally share learnings Research, share, and incorporate broader industry trends, insights, and learnings with regards to sponsorships and activations
QUALIFICATIONS:
BSc. in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field; OR the equivalent qualified by experience.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 year of experience in sponsorships and or events and promotions. Experience in the FMCG industry would be an advantage Project management experience Budget management experience Strong negotiation skills Experience developing and executing large scale events Experience managing agency partners Experience working with and/or interacting with promoters and entertainers Knowledge of the events space in Jamaica and the key players and partners within it
