The Packet Core Solution Architect is part of a Solution delivery team driving major transformation programmes for a Tier 1 telco operator in the UK.

 

Role will be the main contact for the solution design for both internal and external partners. Activities will include preparing solution design, leading design discussions with customer, review of design documents, helping solution engineers with troubleshooting and issue management.

Responsabilities Develop a complete understanding of E2E deployed cloud solutions for the customers.Lead multi-domain virtual teams and collaborate across the competence centres, global support, and product line maintenance teams to drive solution design. Serve as the primary technical point of contact and engagement for internal and external stakeholders during escalations. Work closely with Test Manager for Test definition, Test execution and Test reporting tasksDrive continuous improvement in recurring tasksSupport automation initiatives and drive continuous improvement in integration tasks. Closely work with other Solution Architects for Integration design and planningMentor and guide new team membersParticipate in technical discussions with customer SMEsDrive and orchestrate as Investigation Leader for troubleshooting and fault isolation during solution deployment.Identify and drive business leads and promote products & services. Identify risks & sales opportunities in the customer network.Tecnical Knowledge E2E solution level competence on full stack ie Applications (CNF/VNF) and InfraExpertise on Ericsson Infra Products: CEE, SDN(OVS), SDI, CCD, EVNFM, SDS, OMCKnowledge/Experience in dimensioning of Containerized Network functionsExpertise on Packet Core for 4G and 5GKnowledge/Experience in MME, SPGW, AMF, SMF, UPFKnowledge of SBI and SBA - HTTP, Diameter, Radius, GTP protocols. Knowledge and experience with analysis of traces with WiresharkKnowledge/Experience in Networking for BGP, BFD etc., CNIs in Kubernetes like Multus, Kubernetes primary and secondary networkingKnowledge/Experience in Value added in user plane like Header Enrichment, Content Filtering, Deep packet inspectionKnowledge/Experience in automation and scriptingCompetence in Linux, ovs, tcp, and troubleshooting skills on Ericsson products.Soft Skills
