What You'll Do

As a part of BCG’s X team, you will work closely with consulting teams on a diverse range of advanced analytics topics, including AI, Generative AI, machine learning, optimization, simulation, and cutting-edge engineering topics, among many others. You will have the opportunity to leverage analytical methodologies to deliver value to BCG's Consulting (case) teams and Practice Areas (domain) through providing analytical and engineering subject matter expertise. 

 

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will collaborate with teams to gather requirements, specify, design, develop, deliver and support software solutions serving client needs. You will provide technical support through deeper understanding of relevant software solutions and processes to build high quality and efficient technology solutions. Assignments will range from short term Proof of concepts/Minimum viable product to long term cases with enterprise grade software development as a critical enabler through the project level description of the role responsibilities and impact within the organization.

At Web Application Development

End to End high scale web-development experience but not just limited to architecting, design, planning, development and deployment Maintains a strong knowledge base of new opensource tech stacks, applications, techniques, and skills Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills; must be proactive and take initiativeCreate robust proprietary code and translate business logic into project requirementsDevelop code using development best practices, and an emphasis on security best practicesLeverage technologies to support business needs to attain high reusability and maintainability of current and newly developed systemsProvide system design recommendations based on technical requirementsWork independently on development tasks with minimal supervisionWrite effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high-quality software delivery

You should be strong in solutioning with hands-on experience in software delivery, through the entire life cycle of software development. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to develop and codify knowledge and provide appropriate technical advice where required

Technical Skills:

 

Must have

Strong experience in building, designing and developing high-performance, scalable web applications using modern frameworks – React, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3Skilled in creating responsive, cross-platform UI designs using tools like Material UI or Ant Design to ensure seamless user experiences on both web and mobile platformsProfienciy in leveraring UI component libraries to produce high-quality production apps following a high-fidelity design and specificationsCompetence in connecting frontend interfaces with robust backend system through APIs e.g. Restful or Fast APIs or similar web service architectures.Experience with PostgreSQL and other relational databases to handle large datasets effectively, as well as familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Firebase) for mobile-centric use casesStrong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns, and modern programming paradigms tailored for web/mobile app developmentProficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks like Jest, Mockito, Junit or DetoxTrack record of designing, developing and supporting highly scalable, responsive web applications and servicesFamiliarity with performance monitoring tools such as Firebase Performance Monitoring or AppDynamicsExperience in mobile-specific tools and platforms, such as Google Play Console and Apple App Store Connect, for deployment and app lifecycle managementStrong understanding of responsive design principles to ensure applications adapt effectively across web and mobile platformsKnowledge of integrating third-party libraries for web/mobile app features such as payment gateways, location services and social media APIs

What You'll Bring

Job requirement:

Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science engineering/technology or equivalentExcellent communication skills
