Software Development Engineer - Java

Summary of the role :

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with experience in Java and API development skills. You will be coding, debugging, documenting applications working on java technology. You will also provide support and guidance to our users for end to end value of the product.

Your main responsibilities

Come up with plans to create new application software or improve what we have. Model, design and implement databases as necessary. Coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining software solutions.Writing testable efficient code.Working with scrum product owner and scrum master in Agile environment.Developing your software to follow our standards and quality guidelines.Run unit, package and performance tests Go through the phase of checking your software works for other people.Fine-tune your software as a result of all your testing.Create documents to help our departments use your software.Debug software based on Problem Tracking Records and Change Requests from Product owners and stakeholders.

About the ideal candidate

Having 4 -10 years of experience in Java based technology.Contributing in all phases of Application development.Previous work experience as a Java developer.Hands on Knowledge in using advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS/KnockoutJS/ NodeJS/ ReactJS (good to have)Manage the functional, senior manager and local stakeholders ensuring a proper communication channel is built and regular updates on the team and delivery is shared to stakeholders.Experience in UI Design/Development techniques and web application development using mentioned frameworks.Experience in creating secure RESTful-based web services in XML/JSON, jQuery and writing test cases in JavaScript.Experience working with agile methodologies.An added advantage will be to have experience on CI/CD, jQuery, Microservices.Good English verbal and written communication skills.
