In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to the development, testing, and debugging of firmware.

What you will do

Work with senior engineers on design, taking that design and developing/implementing firmware code using C and Python

Develop unit tests to ensure code functionality and quality

Participate in integration testing to verify proper interaction between firmware and hardware components

Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues identified during testing phases   

Gain exposure to the entire firmware development lifecycle

Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment

The skills you bring 2.7+ GPAActively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internshipBe available to work 40 hours per week during the summerMajor, experience, or demonstrable interest in the position you apply forStrong foundation in programming concepts, particularly CUnderstanding of embedded systems architectureA passion for learning and a willingness to take initiativeExcellent communication and teamwork skillsExperience in OpenWrt, Wi-Fi Driver, Linux devices, kernel compilation, can debug C and python code, worked with vendor SDK/ToolchainUnderstanding of OpenWRT, experience working with wireless protocol stacks, and familiarity with the Linux connectivity stackExperience with Linux machine bring-up, operating system customization and driver portingExperience with C and Python, GitLab

The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

 

Bachelor's 03: $35/hour

Bachelor's 04: $38/hour
