The purpose of this position is to monitor activities under the WFP project in Akkar area. The site supervisor will manage site activities, the beneficiaries’ attendance sheets, the contractor’s work, among multiple other things. The site supervisor will play a crucial work with office work and follow up with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct prescreening phone calls to gather primary data about the beneficiaries.Conduct informative sessions to beneficiaries to explain the project goals, activities, regulations …Register beneficiaries interested in the project.Prepare daily beneficiary list according to WVL and donor’s standards.Ensure that all project sites are set up in adherence to basic security standards as provided by the Project Manager and security department.Ensure daily presence of the selected beneficiaries at the designated site.Verify the identity of the beneficiaries present at the site and ensure that the selected beneficiaries is the right person present at site.Collect daily attendance of the Syrian and Lebanese beneficiaries working in this project.Supervise day to day operations as per the detailed operational plan.Make Daily Coordination with the engineer to ensure that beneficiaries are conducting the assigned tasks as per the standards.Ensure that all project materials and resources are well maintained and stocked in a safe place.Coordinate daily with the project manager and project officer on the progress of works in each activity zone;Have the capacity and necessary information packages to address and answer any beneficiary concernRefer any protection cases spotted in the field to the project manager.Perform other duties as required:
Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security cultureAbide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security managerAttend and participate in local and international capacity building events as neededAttend and participate in spiritual nurture events and other organizational eventsPerform other related tasks as required by the Line ManagerMinimum Requirements:
University Bachelor Degree in ( Social work , Humanitarian Context) Or equivalentGood understanding and knowledge of the north Lebanon areaExpertise to enter, transcribe, record, maintain data/information in written or electronic forms.Basic understanding of technology such as tablets.Min 2 Years’ Experience in NGO's ( Construction activities , Cash distributions , Site Supervision , CRI's Distributions )A valid driver’s license (more than 1 year old).Ability to act with appropriate respect to the beneficiaries’ cultures and traditions.Ability to listen and respond to beneficiary inquiry under any circumstances.Ability to gather information in an objective, appropriate and sensitive way.Ability to travel across the country regularly for training, assessment, regular monitoring and evaluationAs a Christian organisation, World Vision is founded on the biblical principles that women and men, girls and boys are created in the image of God, and of Jesus’ love for all people without discrimination.
