We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Site Lead to manage the day-to-day operations of our Ottawa office and data center. In this role, you will take ownership of critical infrastructure systems, oversee vendor service delivery, support compliance efforts, and ensure the site operates efficiently and securely. As the on-site facilities expert, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a high-performing workplace environment that supports both employee needs and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
Facilities & Infrastructure Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of Fortinet’s Ottawa data center and office facilities. Coordinate and monitor hard services including HVAC, UPS, power generators, fire safety systems, lighting, plumbing, chilled water, and humidifiers. Manage soft services such as cleaning, security, waste management, parking, and reception. Act as the main point of contact for site-related communications, requests, and updates.Data Center Operations
Ensure continuous operation of 24/7 mission-critical infrastructure with minimal disruption. Support disaster recovery and crisis response planning; act as local lead during emergencies. Conduct regular site inspections and enforce preventive maintenance schedules. Contribute to the development of business continuity and risk management strategies.Vendor & Budget Oversight
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services. Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Review and authorize facility-related invoices; manage local operating budgets in collaboration with Finance and Procurement. Maintain records of contracts, warranties, and service histories.Compliance & Reporting
Assist with ISO, SOC2, and internal audits; maintain readiness for regulatory compliance (e.g. ISO 27001, 9001, 14001, 45001). Support corporate reporting, documentation, and presentations as needed. Ensure consistent adherence to Fortinet’s real estate standards and operating procedures. Monitor industry trends and recommend improvements based on best practices.Workplace Support & Space Planning
Coordinate seating plans, departmental moves, and change requests. Collaborate with internal departments to understand and respond to workplace needs. Ensure all workplace-related concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. Liaise with internal teams including HR, MIS, Security, and Real Estate to support employee experience.Qualifications:
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities, infrastructure, or data center operations. Strong knowledge of building systems and critical infrastructure maintenance. Experience supporting audits and maintaining compliance with ISO and other standards. Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and time management skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in contract oversight, vendor coordination, and financial tracking. Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.Preferred
Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP®), CDCMP, CDFOM, or related certifications. Familiarity with TIA-942 Design/Facilities Certification. Experience supporting business continuity and risk mitigation strategies. Additional facilities certifications (e.g., CFM, FMP) are an asset.Why Join Fortinet?
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $85,000 - $100,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
