Job: Shipping Operator
Shift: Days (2,2,3 Shift - 6:00 AM-6:30 PM)
Location: Royal Canin (Freemont, NE)
Royal Canin is seeking Shipping Operator to join our exciting pet food business at a Freemont, NE manufacturing plant. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. Our obsession with detail allows us to deliver precise, effective nutrition and help them become their magnificent best.

The Shipping Operator functions as a member of an area team that is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. This role will operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area. Shipping Operators must ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. Shipping Operators must have the skill set to train and/or perform the tasks of other associates in the area as needed. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all timesPerform periodic and routine inventories of raw materials in storageProvide and perform routine maintenance checks on equipmentAssist in other production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality activity in other areas as directedPerform housekeeping and sanitation proceduresProvide functional communication with other staff members as necessary to optimize quality, efficiency, productivity and safetyLoading trucks, live loads and staged loadsAbility to operate Fork lift – (Expert Level)Direct ship responsibility including proper disposition of hold product, food safety hold product and released productWMS, BOL responsibility / accountabilitySupport Warehouse Area Lead with all activities associated with shipping departmentStanding on a concrete floorSitting, getting up and down off of a forklift oftenWearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55lbsMust be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust dirt and chemicalsVision correctable to 20/20What are we looking for?
