About this opportunity:

We are now looking for a Services Software Professional, who will be analyzing, preparing, deploying, verifying the configuration and integration of nodes, network and/or systems to setup cloud infrastructure platform for our customers in North America. 
As part of the role, you will be responsible for onboarding of the commercially available product and open-source product to our customers. Your scope of work would include the scenarios of hardware validations, deployment using automation, deployment verification, platform validation, upgrade, expansion, and life cycle management (LCM) activity for lab and production infrastructure.

What you will do Responsible for deploying Ericsson and 3rd party cloud platform and ensure applications (5GC and others) are on-boarded on the platformValidate new hardware components per solution design requirementsSetup and develop automation to periodically deploy multiple labs in a repeatable mannerPerform LCM activities on the deployed siteHelp team be successful and work along with Ericsson Off-shore and Product R&D team for any defects / issues encounteredKeep abreast of new technology/technical areas and share information about the solution to enable customer competence buildThe skills you bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering.2+ years of integration experience in the cloud domain of Private and/or Public Cloud. Excellent troubleshooting skills in Linux, virtualization, container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, Networking (CNIs Calico/Multus), Heat templates, Ansible and Helm ChartsHands-on experience in Cloud Networking, L2/L3 networking protocols, Calico, MetalLB and LoadBalancer conceptsProficient in documenting Test Results and Root-Cause-AnalysisHands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Extreme Switches and Routers Good experience working with HTTP(S), TCP/IP, REST API and other Internet protocolsWorked with Cloud Storage backend technologies such as Ceph, Cinder, Manila, iSCSI and/or ZFS Expertise in YAML, Linux commands and Shell scriptingGood understanding of the Cloud Native Security principles and open source toolKnowledge of Datacenter Design, Networking and CLOS Topology

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

 

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of the Deluxe medical and dental plan coverages for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

 

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

 

Your Time

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and unlimited sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
