About the Role:

Engage across our Demand and Supply organizations to ensure the liquid quality of Diageo’s brands sensorially, drive improvements across our programs, and interpret data to enable decision making and verify performance of our global manufacturing sites against our high standards. Design and lead testing plans which validate that our products have been commercialized to meet the original concept liquid as well as maintaining their integrity throughout shelf life!

Role Responsibilities:

Develops, manages, and trains on shelf-life procedures and provides internal consultancy as needed across NA Supply to establish product’s shelf-life and ensure product integrity.

Drive standards compliance program across conversion sites to ensure product quality and consistency throughout production.

Coordinates sensory testing for incoming consumer complaints and communicates results to the Consumer/Retail Experience Manager to ensure product quality and to enhance customer service.

Drive the best sensory designs to ensure business needs are met working directly with Liquid Developers throughout commercialization (shelf-life, SLOB, standards submission)

Define and embed standard methodologies for conversion sites to maintain sensory quality with new production start-ups.

Assumes responsibility for the operation of relevant scientific equipment and maintains personal work area for safety and cleanliness

Internal consultancy provided as needed across NA Supply

Be a strong proponent for the products balancing the business need with the consumer want and sell your ideas to development partners and critical team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

Role requires BS + in Food Science/ Psychology (or related technical field) with 2-3 years of sensory experience in a consumer product company.

Demonstrated ability and adaptability to support multiple programs across a broad brand/product portfolio with a substantial workload.

Ability to concisely communicate and sell ideas to both technical and non-technical audience.

Experience with Compusense a plus.

Role requires ~20% travel.
