Senior Technical Program Manager

Overview:
Mastercard is seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Program Manager to drive the execution of key Technology Regulatory initiatives across the Americas. This role sits at the intersection of technology, risk, and compliance, and is critical in ensuring the timely and successful implementation of large-scale regulatory programs. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to senior leadership, capable of anticipating challenges, mitigating risks, and delivering high-impact outcomes across cross-functional teams.
This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of technology, and exceptional program management skills.

Role:
•\tLead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-phase projects related to regulatory initiatives across the Americas region.
•\tAct as the primary liaison between project sponsors, senior leaders, and contributing teams to ensure alignment on priorities, scope, and timelines.
•\tProactively identify roadblocks, manage risk mitigation efforts, and ensure timely communication of key decisions and status updates to stakeholders.
•\tTrack and report on project KPIs, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring transparency and accountability across the program lifecycle.
•\tChampion and enforce Mastercard’s project management methodologies and standards, escalating issues as needed for resolution.
•\tDevelop and manage detailed project schedules, dependencies, and resource plans.
•\tCoordinate cross-functional team activities, ensuring each member understands their responsibilities and contribution to the project.
•\tSupport continuous improvement by contributing insights into processes, standards, and new product delivery strategies.
•\tFoster a high-performance culture within the delivery team, aligning efforts with business objectives and ensuring agility in execution.

All About You:
•\tProven expertise in technical program and project management, with experience managing large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives.
•\tStrong knowledge of the Agile framework; Scrum or SAFe certification is a plus.
•\tExperience with infrastructure project management, ideally with exposure to database systems.
•\tFamiliarity with program management methodologies; PMP or PgMP certification is desire.
•\tSkilled in breaking down high-level requirements into detailed functional and non-functional requirements with minimal oversight.
•\tConfident with interface specifications, running queries, and conducting high-level technical analysis to drive discussions effectively.
•\tPrevious experience working within Mastercard or deep understanding of Mastercard’s infrastructure and regulatory environment is highly preferred.
•\tDemonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization and work effectively in a matrixed environment.
•\tHighly organized and adept at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
•\tProven experience working with multiple global stakeholders.
•\tExceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.
•\tEnglish proficiency is required, as it involves regular communication with global teams.
•\tBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
